Just got a new to me RT3 straight blade. Bought a Chevy work truck this summer with Boss system already installed. Went to hook up plow and smartswitch will not lift frame up to engage pins. Assuming the SH switch has power (controller in float, ignition on, etc) and this isn't a new to you plow or install- make sure there isn't a pin missing in the plow side plug. When you lose one it's almost always the pin in the circuit going through the plug from the SH toggle back to the underhood relay.

The RT3 allows for the headgear to be forward, and simply align with the "C" trype hanger and is secured with a pin. Two ENTIRELY different systems.

Disconnect the hose that goes to the lift cylinder and put it in a collection container. Push the raise buttond for about 3 seconds to push the old oil out of the line and then reconnect the line.

Suggest you check the draw on the pump motor, clean all screens as suggested above, eliminate elecrical issues by checking the grounds etc. I would not be surprised at all if the pump needs to be replaced.
